ARCHES Velin Drawing Paper
Like all the ARCHES papers, the Velin Drawing Paper range is made on a cylinder mould at the Arches Paper mill in the Vosges. This traditional cold-pressed method ensures that the fibres are evenly distributed which makes the paper stronger and extremely dimensionally stable.
Velin BFK Rives is an archival-quality paper. Its smooth surface, soft texture and light sizing allow it to pick up every detail. It is therefore excellent for all printmaking methods such as lithography, intaglio engraving, relief printing, linocut, letterpress, silkscreen, hot-foil stamping, heat embossing, collotype printing, bookbinding or special applications (prints, greetings cards, invitations and announcement cards). It is also very suited for all drawing techniques: graphite, pastel, charcoal, pencil, sanguine crayon, felt pen, and calligraphy.
