ARCHES Aquarelle Paper
Like all the papers that make up the ARCHES range, ARCHES Aquarelle is made on a cylinder mould at the Arches Paper mill in the Vosges. This traditional method ensures that the fibres are evenly distributed which makes the paper stronger and extremely dimensionally stable.
100% cotton, ARCHES Aquarelle sheets are watermarked and with 4 deckle edges. ARCHES Aquarelle is an archival-quality paper. It is the only watercolour paper, in the market, that is sized to the core with natural gelatin which allows the watercolour washes to retain their full transparency and their most vibrant colours. Its exceptional resistance enables erasing and scratching without tearing or linting. It allows paints to be removed, either wet or dry, easily revealing the whiteness of the paper.
ARCHES Aquarelle slackens uniformly when wet, giving the artist more control. It can be soaked for a long time. It is ideal for watercolour and for all wet techniques such as ink, gouache and acrylic. An excellent choice for professional watercolour artists.
